Bill Roberson of San Pedro Neighbors for Peace and Justice introduces Standing Up & Speaking Truth to Power their annual fourth of July event on Liberty Hill, in San Pedro, California. Every year they commemorated the 1923 strike of the Industrial Worker of the World Marine Transport Industrial Union. When Upton Sinclair, the author of the Jungle, started his speech in support of the Union he began with the first the Bill of Rights before he had time to finish reading the first Right, he was arrested by the LAPD.
